Digital class Connecting the unconnected

aceslogo_normal_rgb_hr_for_screenThe class (classes) idea occurred as a response to an international competition of the Aces Foundation for school projects, and since it had spread and “infected” all my acquaintances, I wished to share it in this form to entire Serbia,so I signed up to a “Digital class” competition of the Ministry of Telecommunications. The classes are inspired with the project and solidarity as a subject, and they are intended for the teachers of  the Serbian language and literature and Civic education,so it would be useful as an idea to all the teachers of the two subjects in Serbia.

I was led by the philosophy of my favorite book character Anne Frank:”It is wonderful that no one has to wait a single moment to start working on making the world a better place”.And it is really so.Before you read my work and study my project I beg you not to doubt if you could also do it.I started all this without a single dime, and nowadays we have numerous sponsors.I still make no profit to me or to my colleagues, but this idea “buys” lots of children’s smiles, and they are priceless. The project subject is solidarity, and you can make up your own, either to this subject or another one.
The address of my work, which has entered the Digital class Basis of knowledge is:
Best regards,
Aleksandra Milutinović,

After the completion of the best art and literary work competition,we arranged our project’s corner.More than 70 students of our school painted and wrote on the subject of our project, and the project team chose the best works as decorations for the corner, which is set in the very heart of our school. It was very difficult to choose the works,so we are especially grateful to our colleague teachers who took part in the activity:Gordana Macić and Snežana Antić, teachers of the Serbian language, who were the coordinators for literary works and Novica Ilić, Art teacher, who was the coordinator for Art works.

Together we arrange our project’s corner

Project idea

The most important aim of our project is to connect the diversities in our mutual struggle to create a firm foundations for future friendship through solidarity. We will include organisations such is the Red Cross Serbia in our project, whose volunteers will demonstrate our participants their way of helping other people. Our project will support the solidarity topic, with every action we take. Our aim is to learn at every meeting how nice it is to be humane, sympathetic and to get better and better all the time.
We especially focused on the fact that our countries have frequently been on different sides, that our politicians have almost never had mutual understanding, and that our schools have never had any form of cooperation (especially between Serbia and Albania). We have courageously started this project in order to make an attempt of breaking prejudices, manage to prove that mutual actions, free of politics and material interests can lead to successful and humane cooperation. The main focus is on students, because they represent the future that has to be better than the past and they will be able to create it.
The students will be of similar age (between 13 and 15). The students have in common the facts that they live in relatively poor countries,do not live in big cities and are not used to living in too much comfort, so we think that they probably have similar interests and problems. The lessons that they will learn while participating in our project will be real life lessons.
